The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santucho lands with a thumping leg kick.

Santucho shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rex is trying to defend but Santucho finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Santucho shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rex manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rex manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Santucho lands a big elbow - Rex is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Santucho!
