Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Any Way You Want It kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! William Peppers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Peppers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Colin Harris! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris shoots in looking for a takedown. Peppers tries to sprawl out of it but Harris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Peppers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Peppers throws an overhand right that lands on Harris's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot. Peppers throws a body punch but Harris moves out of range. Peppers shoots in but Harris avoids the takedown attempt easily. Peppers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away. Peppers throws a right and a left that Harris avoids nicely. Peppers shoots in but Harris avoids the takedown attempt easily. Peppers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peppers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peppers throws a right hand that Harris ducks under and follows up with a left that Harris also avoids with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Donk. Peppers catches Harris right on the button with a cross. Peppers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Harris slips under a jab. Harris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peppers but Peppers pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peppers throws a jab but it's blocked by Harris. Harris moves into the clinch successfully.

Peppers throws a series of punches but Harris avoids them all with ease. Harris connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Peppers misses with a wild combination.
Peppers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away. Harris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peppers tries to avoid it but Harris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peppers to the ground. Peppers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. William Peppers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colin Harris. Peppers swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harris throws a low kick but Peppers avoids it. Peppers lands a nice looking body shot.
Peppers fails with the takedown. Peppers is breathing heavily. Harris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peppers as he avoids it easily. Harris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peppers but Peppers pushes him off and we're back to square one. Harris slips a jab from Peppers.

Peppers stuffs the takedown. Harris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peppers but Peppers pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peppers waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Harris. Harris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Peppers tries to grapple but his opponent circles so Harris counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Peppers wants to sweep but no luck. Peppers keeping full guard, as Harris tries to pass. Harris stopping the sweep attempt from Peppers. Peppers keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peppers isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Harris stacks Peppers on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Harris! Harris lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Peppers tries to improve position but can't. Peppers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Peppers looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Peppers works his way to full guard. Good work. Peppers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Harris is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Peppers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Harris's back instead. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Peppers has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Harris has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harris uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peppers.

and Harris counters with a single leg into guard. Peppers didn't expect that. Harris pushes down on Peppers's leg and manages to get into half guard. Peppers is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Harris pulls his head out easily. Peppers wants to get back to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Harris fails with the takedown. Harris drives through with a takedown into guard. Peppers has an active guard here but Harris has managed to pass into half guard.
Harris with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Peppers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peppers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Harris is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peppers is just riding it out for now. Harris eventually gives up the hold. Peppers actively working from the bottom here. Peppers looking for submissions off his back. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Peppers throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Harris looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peppers is fending him off so far but Harris persists. Nope, Peppers circles away and we're back to standing. Peppers cracks Harris with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Peppers fails with the takedown and Harris counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Peppers's guard now. Harris preventing the sweep. Peppers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harris's guard. Peppers looking to pass the guard. Harris lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Peppers! Peppers is looking to get to half guard. Peppers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Peppers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Harris's head. Peppers missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Peppers seems to be working for a kimura but Harris defends the submission attempt. Harris looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
