Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tage McNutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Spend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McNutt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Warrior's Call. Spend has chosen Make it Nasty, Tyga as his entrance music. Jesse Spend is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tage McNutt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Spend! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McNutt. Spend feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McNutts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! McNutt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jesse Spend seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McNutt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Spend throws a leg kick but McNutt moved away. McNutt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tage McNutt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from Spend. No joy for McNutt on that attempt. A decent looking cross lands there for Spend. McNutt walks into a left hand. This has been an exciting period of action! McNutt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McNutt drops his hands momentarily and Spend takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Spend misses with a low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Spend. That's going to slow McNutt down. Spend with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McNutt is breathing heavily. McNutt gets a takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Spend looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spend keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Spend is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McNutt pulls his head out easily. McNutt is trying to control the action in half guard but Spend is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. McNutt is really struggling to control Spend but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McNutt passes to side control. Spend is letting McNutt control him for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McNutt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Spend has escaped the position, nice work there. Spend gets back to half guard. McNutt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spend doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McNutt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNutt trying to control the action but Spend is working from the bottom. McNutt wants to pass to mount but Spend is defending the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Spend looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. McNutt looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. McNutt is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McNutt not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Spend dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Spend feints and then cracks McNutt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McNutt down. McNutt scores with a takedown into Spend's guard. McNutt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McNutt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spend keeping full guard, as McNutt tries to pass. McNutt working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Spend working for a triangle but McNutt defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McNutt advances position into side control! McNutt throwing strikes but Spend manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Spend remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Spend has knee on belly and moves into mount. Spend controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Spend has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Spend's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jesse Spend was stalling too much, according to the referee. Nice body punch from Spend. Spend cracks the inside of McNutt's front leg. Good work by McNutt as he checks the leg kick. McNutt shoots in looking for a takedown but Spend manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McNutt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Spend fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McNutt. Jesse Spend seems to be getting the better of the standup. McNutt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Spend tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McNutt is in Spend's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spend looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jesse Spend showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Spend cracks McNutt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. McNutt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spend as he avoids it easily. McNutt tries to clinch up but Spend circles away and keeps his distance. McNutt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A leg kick checked by McNutt. Spend throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McNutt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Spend gets back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McNutt wants to take a breather but Spend is having none of it. McNutt not landing any meaningful shots this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McNutt is just content to waste time from the top position. Spend takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spend is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McNutt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spend works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McNutt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McNutt passes Spend's right leg, so he's now in half guard. McNutt trying to mount his opponent but Spend defends it. McNutt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McNutt keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McNutt is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McNutt is looking to stall here but Spend recovers full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spend working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McNutt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McNutt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McNutt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McNutt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spend had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McNutt defends it easily. Spend being controlled here, momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spend keeping moving, preventing McNutt from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jesse Spend. I've got Spend winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
