Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Ungar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ungar comes into the arena with Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH blaring out of the sound system. Edwards is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Like a surgeon. Blake Edwards has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stu Ungar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Blake Edwards! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ungar. Ungar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Stu Ungar has been cut. Edwards throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Edwards takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ungar throws a front kick aimed at Edwards's knee but Edwards avoids it well. Edwards is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ungar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Edwards looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Edwards scores with a nice head shot. Ungar dips to his left and cracks Edwards with an uppercut!
It looks like Blake Edwards has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Ungar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ungar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Edwards. Edwards throws a wild body kick that Ungar sees coming a mile off. Edwards throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ungar was covering up waiting for the punch and Edwards finishes the takedown easily into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ungar throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ungar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Edwards throws a big elbow that misses. Edwards wants to control from the top but Ungar keeps moving. Ungar is looking for a triangle but Edwards pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Edwards wants to control from the top but Ungar keeps moving. Ungar working for a triangle but Edwards defends it easily.
Edwards is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ungar wants to sweep here but Edwards controlling him for the moment. Edwards wants to pass the guard but Ungar is keeping the position. Ungar keeping moving, preventing Edwards from controlling successfully.

Ungar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ungar moves into full mount! Edwards won't be happy about that! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ungar prevents Edwards from getting the reversal. Edwards has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ungar trying to control but he's not successful this time. Edwards is desperately trying to improve his position but Ungar has a good base and remains in mount. Ungar wants to control the pace but Edwards is squirming around nicely. Edwards is trying to escape the mount.
Ungar goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Edwards turns into him and now he's in Ungar's guard.
Ungar wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Blake Edwards will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ungar throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Edwards. Ungar lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ungar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Edwards sees it coming and avoids it easily. Edwards has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ungar throws a head punch that misses. Ungar stalling in the clinch but Edwards improves position. A head punch blocked on the inside by Ungar. Edwards is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ungar is defending well. Edwards tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ungar's elbow. Edwards swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards scores with a hook to the body. Ungar tries to work over Edwards's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Edwards turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Ungar is trying to control Edwards's posture but Edwards avoids it. Edwards trying to control the position but Ungar is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edwards advances nicely into full mount. Ungar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ungar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Edwards lands with some strikes. Edwards with a couple of short strikes. Edwards has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ungar's face.

Ungar is rocked! Edwards content just to control the position here. Oh Ungar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Edwards looking to finish Ungar with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ungar! Ungar seems to have got his legs back now. Ungar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Stu Ungar's cut is getting worse. Ungar is squirming around, avoiding Edwards's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ungar looks a forlorn figure.
Ungar gets back to half guard. Ungar looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Edwards seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Stu Ungar's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Edwards is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ungar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ungar tries to roll over but Edwards keeps him under control. Edwards uses his free foot to push down on Ungar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ungar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Edwards pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jeez, Stu Ungar's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Stu Ungar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
