Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thor God of Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Will Javis!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Javis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from God of Thunder is defended easily by Javis.
God of Thunder walks into a left hand.
Javis misses with an attempted mid kick.

God of Thunder closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Javis's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as God of Thunder accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Javis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. God of Thunder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Thor God of Thunder.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

God of Thunder looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Javis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Javis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. God of Thunder is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Javis is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Javis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

God of Thunder has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Javis tries to lock up and control but God of Thunder gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
God of Thunder wants to control the pace but Javis is squirming around nicely.
God of Thunder lands a big shot there that rocks Javis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
