The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman dodges the punch combination from McCall.
McCall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McCall ducks under a wild hook from Norman.
McCall misses with a few strikes there.
McCall looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

McCall throws a series of punches but Norman moves out of range.

Norman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCall sprawls well. McCall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Norman gets slowly back to his feet.

McCall wants to stand but Norman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

McCall lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCall seems to be working for a kimura but Norman defends the submission attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Chad McCall will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Norman wants to clinch.
Norman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McCall tries to avoid it but Norman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McCall to the ground. McCall escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McCall looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
McCall gets control of Norman's arms and successfully pulls guard. McCall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Norman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McCall dives on top into guard.
Norman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McCall looking to sit in guard and control but Norman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Norman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McCall kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

McCall is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Norman wants to control from the top but McCall keeps moving.
McCall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Norman blocks a jab.
Sloppy strikes from McCall. Those never looked like landing.
McCall throws a right and a left that both miss.

Norman swats away the attempt to clinch by McCall.
McCall lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McCall.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Norman drops back looking for a leg! McCall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCall manages to kick Norman off! Norman jumps back into McCall's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Norman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McCall finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Norman bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McCall's head.
McCall throws a push kick but Norman slaps the foot to one side.

and McCall counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Horrible takedown by Norman or perhaps it was just good defense by McCall which made him look bad.
