Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Asher Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and H Y Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kwon has chosen Wu Tang Clan - CREAM as his entrance music. The key to victory for Asher Lee has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asher Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, H Y Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lee loads up on a big right hand but Kwon slips the punch.
Lee takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A telegraphed right hand from Lee misses the target.
A nice combination there by Kwon.
Lee throws a right hand that Kwon ducks under and follows up with a left that Kwon also avoids with ease.
Kwon throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range.
H Y Kwon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kwon.
Kwon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Kwon. Those never looked like landing.
Kwon is looking to land body kicks.
Kwon throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease.
Kwon tries to clinch up.
Lee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Lee missing with a left hand there. Kwon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kwon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A jab from Lee misses.
Kwon throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kwon tries to clinch but Lee moves away
and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Kwon will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kwon scores with a kick to the body.

Kwon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lee wants to improve his position but Kwon is controlling well.
Kwon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lee's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lee wants to control but Kwon is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kwon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Kwon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kwon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.

Kwon is looking for a kimura here.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kwon on the ground.

Kwon seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kwon prevents Lee from improving his position.
Kwon is looking to stall here but Lee recovers full guard.

Kwon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee!

Lee tries to advance to mount but can't.

Lee has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lee leaves Kwon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lee throws a hook but Kwon avoids it easily.
Lee blocks a head kick by Kwon.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lee takes a swing at Kwon's ribcage but misses.
Kwon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Asher Lee will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kwon moves into the clinch.
Kwon is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lee is defending well for now.
Kwon lands a left hand.
A shot in the inside from Lee.
Kwon landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kwon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Asher Lee has been cut.
Lee blocks a body shot from Kwon.
Kwon tries to pull guard but Lee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kwon tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Good body shot from Kwon.
Kwon scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Kwon breaks the clinch.
H Y Kwon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown by Kwon or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.

Lee pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Kwon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kwon misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
An elbow from Kwon crashes against the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kwon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kwon tries to score with some ground and pound. Lee controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Kwon stands up and beckons Lee to his feet.
Kwon tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it.
Kwon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Asher Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of H Y Kwon.
A lazy left from Lee finds it's target.
Jab, jab by Lee - just one landing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kwon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Nice uppercut there from Lee.
Lee tries to bum rush Kwon with a series of wild strikes but Kwon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lee digs a good body shot into Kwon's ribs.

Kwon lands a head kick!
Kwon fails with the takedown.
Kwon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kwon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lee is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kwon lands with a nice combination. Lee backs away looking to recover.
Kwon throws a big shot that misses.
Kwon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lee.
Lee on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Kwon throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee.
Kwon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kwon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kwon shoots in but no luck this time.
Kwon tries to close the distance and clinch but Lee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kwon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Kwon has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

H Y Kwon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Asher Lee's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lee walks into a left hand.
Lee throws a right and a left that Kwon avoids nicely.
Lee ducks under a wild hook from Kwon.
Kwon throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kwon shoots in but no luck this time.
Kwon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lee lands a nice shot that snaps Kwon's head back.
Kwon misses with a double jab
and Lee counters with a straight right hand.
Asher Lee is winning the standup battle so far.
Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kwon looks to land a body kick but Lee moved away.
Lee is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kwon wants to clinch up but Lee keeps it at a distance.

Kwon moves into the clinch.
Lee wants to break free but Kwon has control.
Kwon scores with a knee to the head.
Kwon with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Lee is trying to force a seperation but Kwon has the dominant position.

Kwon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A slow jab from Kwon misses its intended target.
Kwon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lee.
Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kwon clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage.
Kwon connects with a knee to the head.
Lee blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kwon tries to land knees in the clinch but Lee avoids the damage to the body.
Kwon misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lee managing to block the knees to the body from Kwon.
Kwon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Asher Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of H Y Kwon.
Kwon tries to land knees in the clinch but Lee avoids the damage to the body.

Kwon lands a good knee to the midsection. Lee won't want to take too many of those.

Lee is looking to improve his position but Kwon isn't that keen on the idea.

Kwon goes for an armbar but Lee turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lee.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lee tries to stand but Kwon is controlling from the bottom.
Kwon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Kwon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there.
Kwon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kwon is keeping the position for now.
Kwon can't keep his opponent in guard - Lee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lee decides to stand and escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kwon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kwon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

H Y Kwon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kwon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
