Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ZPrizzy Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen Deuces as his entrance music. Peter Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gracie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
ZPrizzy Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simmons throws a right and a left that both miss.
Simmons throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.
Simmons misses with a two punch combination.
Simmons throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gracie.
Simmons is trying to break free.
Simmons tries to break free but Gracie pushes him back against the cage.
Simmons wants to get back to striking at distance but Gracie won't allow it.

Simmons pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Simmons.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Simmons swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Simmons sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Simmons misses with the combination.

Gracie throws a head kick that misses.
Simmons throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Simmons looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Nice defenses there by Gracie.
Simmons throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Simmons shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Poor strikes thrown by Simmons there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Simmons avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simmons tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Simmons can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simmons postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Simmons is sitting in close to Gracie's body. Gracie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Simmons is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Simmons is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gracie.
