Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales comes to the cage accompanied by Himno Nacional Mexicano. Adams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rihanna - So Hard kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams takes one on the button.

Adams moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Adams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gonzales to the mat! Gonzales manages to get full guard.

Gonzales has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Adams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Adams wants to get up but he can't break Gonzales's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Adams is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Adams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gonzales's head.

Gonzales throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Adams on the side of the head.

Gonzales throws the left hand but Adams avoids the punch easily.
Enrique Gonzales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Adams or perhaps it was just good defense by Gonzales which made him look bad.
Adams shoots in looking for a takedown but Gonzales manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gonzales throws a right hand that Adams ducks under and follows up with a left that Adams also avoids with ease.
Gonzales lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Gonzales's jab looks to have found its range, popping Adams under the eye.

Adams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gonzales but Gonzales pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Adams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gonzales sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gonzales throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Adams tries to clinch but Gonzales is having none of it.

Adams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gonzales sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adams somewhat.

Gonzales lands with an uppercut that bounces Adams off the cage and back into range.
Gonzales is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gonzales, as that shot connected.
Adams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Adams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nice uppercut lands for Gonzales. That snapped Adams's head back.

Gonzales connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Gonzales steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Adams is out on his feet! Gonzales sets himself and nearly takes Adams's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
