PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royce Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and E T (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). T comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bodies Hit the Floor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Royce Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, E T!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
T misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
T gets caught flat footed, as Rua shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
T really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
T is wriggling around but Rua manages to pass to half guard.
T is looking for a sweep. Rua is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rua stops T from getting back to his feet.
T is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rua scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rua is keen to just control but T is a slippery customer.
Rua looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks T with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rua is looking to advance position but T won't allow it.
Rua slips a nice elbow through T's hands, connecting with T's forehead.
T tries to get to full guard but Rua has control of the leg.
Rua is nestled in close to T, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rua winds up and cracks T with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Rua passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for T!
Rua lands with some vicious ground and pound - can T hang on?
T is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
A big strike lands for Rua! That's really hurt T and he's turned his back - Rua keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Rua Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Royce Rua!
