Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and joe pertally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spinx comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spinx takes a shot to the body in his stride.
pertally moves out of range of the body kick from Spinx.
Spinx darts in and clinches pertally up against the cage.
Spinx with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

pertally feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
pertally is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
