Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Beckenbauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Limp Bizkit Eat You Alive. Beckenbauer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Apaga mas não bate . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckenbauer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away.
Beckenbauer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. James sees it coming and avoids it easily.
James scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Beckenbauer.
James lands a glancing blow to the side of Beckenbauer's head.
Beckenbauer fails to land the takedown.
James shoots for a double leg takedown but Beckenbauer sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Beckenbauer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Beckenbauer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Beckenbauer lands in his opponent's guard.

Beckenbauer sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. James doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Beckenbauer paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from James - great work!
