The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Pearce is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pearce slips a jab from Hall.
Pearce shoots in for a takedown but Hall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Pearce counters with a single leg into guard. Hall didn't expect that.

Pearce is trying to ground and pound but Hall uses the momentary lack of control by Pearce to regain half guard.

Pearce thows an elbow strike that misses. Hall gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Pearce doesn't seem too bothered but Hall quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Pearce is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Pearce really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
