The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sword swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McSweeney fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sword.
Sword misses with an uppercut. McSweeney saw that one coming.

and McSweeney makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
McSweeney wants to clinch up but Sword keeps it at a distance.
Sword shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McSweeney sprawls well. McSweeney wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sword gets slowly back to his feet.
McSweeney tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sword paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A chopping leg kick lands by McSweeney.

Sword drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sword postures up in McSweeney's guard and throws a big left but McSweeney blocks it.
Sword scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sword passes McSweeney's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sword slips a nice elbow through McSweeney's hands, connecting with McSweeney's forehead.

McSweeney is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sword scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sword seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sword seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Sword takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sword lands with a punch from half guard.
McSweeney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sword looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McSweeney with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sword thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McSweeney's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sword in particular looking to stall.
McSweeney avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sword.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sword connects with a nice short shot to McSweeney's temple.
Sword is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
