The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stracci shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Breckinridge as he jumps to the side. Breckinridge forces Stracci back against the cage and clinches. Stracci wants a takedown but no success here.
Breckinridge pushes off an throws an elbow but Stracci leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Stracci takes an elbow to the forehead. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Stracci blocks an elbow strike from Breckinridge.

Stracci looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Breckinridge with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stracci is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Breckinridge doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stracci. Stracci trying to pass the guard but Breckinridge defending well. Stracci looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Breckinridge tries to roll over but Stracci keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stracci is looking to take a break and control but Breckinridge is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stracci connects with a nice short shot to Breckinridge's temple. Breckinridge wants to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stracci missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stracci thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Ron Stracci showed his dominance in that final round. I think Breckinridge has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
