Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jubal Sackett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarret Slertys!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett darts in and clinches Slertys up against the cage.
Sackett throws a knee to the head but misses.
Slertys takes a knee to the side of the body.
Sackett landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Slertys takes a knee to the side of the body.
Sackett lands a knee to the head.
Slertys is rocked!
It looks like Jarret Slertys has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slertys struggles to land a body shot inside as Sackett controls his hands.
Slertys is still on wobbly legs! Can Sackett finish him?
Slertys working hard to break the clinch.
Slertys seems to have recovered his senses.
Slertys takes a knee right on the jaw!
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sackett obliges.
Slertys looks gassed!
Sackett throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Slertys blocks it with crossed arms.
Sackett connects with a nasty looking knee right to Slertys's face.
Sackett keeps control of Slertys as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sackett throws an elbow that misses.
Slertys wants to take the fight to the mat but Sackett manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Sackett landing knees to the head.
Sackett drops Slertys with a big knee straight up the middle! Slertys is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Sackett connects with a leg kick. Slertys looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sackett closes the distance and pushes Slertys back into the cage.
Sackett with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Sackett jerks Slertys's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Slertys drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Sackett goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Sackett because Slertys was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Jubal Sackett!
