Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Morales Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morales Jr's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fuel - Metallica. Tran has chosen Theme from Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Harry Tran will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tran gets a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Morales Jr takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Tran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tran clinches. Morales Jr wants to break free but Tran has control.

Tran comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Tran tries a knee to the head but Morales Jr blocks it.
Tran is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Morales Jr is keeping busy. Tran drops down looking for an ankle pick but Morales Jr pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morales Jr moves in looking to clinch but Tran pushes him off. Tran throws a sloppy head kick and Morales Jr moves out of range easily. Tran has closed the distance and engaged Morales Jr in a clinch.
Tran looking for a takedown. Tran has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Morales Jr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Antonio Morales Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Tran. Tran has had enough of the clinch but Morales Jr keeps him there for the moment. Morales Jr throws a punch but it's blocked by Tran. Tran is working for takedown but Morales Jr is calmly controlling the position for now. Morales Jr pulls guard effortlessly. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Morales Jr trying to control the position.
Morales Jr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morales Jr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tran manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Morales Jr is in close to Tran's body, working some short punches and elbows. Morales Jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tran is looking to stand up but Morales Jr isn't so interested in that idea. Tran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morales Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Morales Jr wants to control from the top but Tran keeps moving. Tran is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Morales Jr is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tran can do anything to dispel that myth. Morales Jr throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morales Jr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Tran keeping moving, preventing Morales Jr from controlling successfully. Morales Jr lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Morales Jr throwing strikes from guard but Tran blocks nicely. Tran working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Morales Jr. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Morales Jr wants to control from the top but Tran keeps moving. Tran lands an elbow inside. Tran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tran moves into range and clinches up with Morales Jr. Tran wants to get back to striking at distance but Morales Jr won't allow it.

Morales Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Tran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Morales Jr shoots in and bounces Tran off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Morales Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tran is looking to stand up but Morales Jr isn't so interested in that idea.

Morales Jr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Morales Jr stops Tran from getting back to his feet.
Tran is breathing heavily. Morales Jr sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tran defending well though. Morales Jr is keen to just control but Tran is a slippery customer. Morales Jr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Morales Jr working the head and body with strikes.

Morales Jr is taking a breather. Tran says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Morales Jr working over Tran with some ground and pound. Tran looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tran is trying to stand back up but Morales Jr is controlling him
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morales Jr is keen to just control but Tran is a slippery customer. Morales Jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Tran is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
