Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between One Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ippo Makunouchi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, One Dude! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ippo Makunouchi ! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dude goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Dude gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Makunouchi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Makunouchi scores with a nice body kick.
Makunouchi takes a body punch but keeps moving. Makunouchi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dude moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sloppy strikes from Makunouchi . Those never looked like landing. Dude will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dude missing with a left hand there. Makunouchi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Makunouchi misses with a two punch combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dude looks to score with a jab to the body but Makunouchi is just out of range. Makunouchi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dude tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Makunouchi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dude is not content to let Makunouchi control the position. Dude is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Makunouchi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Makunouchi working away. Dude manages to work his way to half guard, despite Makunouchi 's best efforts. Dude tries to kick Makunouchi off but Makunouchi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Makunouchi is pressing down on Dude's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dude is holding on for now. Makunouchi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dude's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dude is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dude is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Makunouchi passes the guard and advances to mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Makunouchi looking to ground and pound but Dude is blocking nicely. Dude is trying to escape the mount.
Makunouchi thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ippo Makunouchi ! A relieved looking Ippo Makunouchi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
