Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Bryan Baker has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bryan Baker seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan Baker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Chris Carwin! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The fighters circling - Carwin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Baker lands a big head kick that sends Carwin tumbling to the mat! Baker takes a step backwards and waves Carwin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Chris Carwin has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Baker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carwin. That did some damage! A head kick misses from Baker. Baker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carwin. Baker misses with a lunging right hand
and Carwin counters with a series of strikes. Baker will be more careful next time no doubt. Baker misses with a leg kick. Baker takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Carwin jabbing away but nothing is landing. Carwin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Baker throws a front kick aimed at Carwin's knee but Carwin avoids it well. Carwin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Baker. Carwin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Baker. Baker fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin avoids the body shot from Baker.
Carwin ducks under a wild hook from Baker. A shot to the body from Baker misses and Carwin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Baker scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That has opened up Chris Carwin's cut even more. Carwin throws a hook but Baker blocks it. Baker tests Carwin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baker throws the left hand but Carwin avoids the punch easily. Good work by Carwin as he checks the leg kick. Baker thuds a left hand into Carwin's body. Baker lands a jab-cross combination. Baker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carwin is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Baker tries to bum rush Carwin with a series of wild strikes but Carwin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker lands with a kick to the temple. Carwin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The cut above Chris Carwin's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Baker misses with the combination.
A telegraphed right hand from Carwin misses the target. Baker looks to land a combination but Carwin avoids it well. Carwin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Carwin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Carwin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Baker.
Baker takes a body punch but keeps moving. Baker dives in and grabs Carwin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carwin pushes down on Baker's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Baker. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Carwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carwin lands a slapping body shot.
Baker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carwin circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin scores with the left hand. Baker knows he should have avoided that one. Baker staying out of range there. Carwin swings for the body but Baker moves out of range.
Baker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Baker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A combination from Baker does no damage. Baker finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Baker misses with a double jab.
Carwin looks to land a left hand but Baker moved out of range nicely. Jab, jab by Carwin - just one landing. Carwin on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Chris Carwin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Sloppy strikes from Baker. Those never looked like landing. The fighters circle momentarily. Baker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chris Carwin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bryan Baker!
