Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Colin Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knowles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Knowles pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Knowles takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Christian Knowles has been cut.

Knowles unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lewis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Lewis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Knowles has him pressed against the cage.

Lewis makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Knowles shoots in and drives through. Lewis sprawls well.
Knowles throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lewis pushes off an throws an elbow but Knowles leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Knowles has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lewis regains guard immediately.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Knowles misses with a takedown attempt - Lewis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Knowles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lewis pinned against the cage. Lewis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Knowles closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knowles lands in his opponent's guard.
Lewis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Knowles!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Christian Knowles will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Knowles connects with a solid leg kick.

Knowles shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Knowles, right into the meat.
Knowles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lewis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lewis lands a nice short elbow.
Knowles is looking to escape.
Lewis lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lewis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Knowles is looking to control Lewis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knowles avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Lewis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Lewis using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Knowles has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Lewis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Knowles blocks it with crossed arms.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Knowles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lewis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Knowles fails with a takedown attempt.
Lewis throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Knowles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lewis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lewis.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lewis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Colin Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
