Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Chanburry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Man might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wu-Tang Clan-METHOD MAN . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Method Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Chanburry! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man rushes Chanburry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Chanburry is trying to force a seperation but Man has the dominant position. Man blocks an elbow strike from Chanburry.
Man lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Man tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Man gets control of Chanburry's arms and successfully pulls guard. Man will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Chanburry throws an elbow that misses. Man uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chanburry's guard. Nice move by Man! Man decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Man scores with a one two! Chanburry had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Michael Chanburry has been cut. Chanburry closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Man quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chanburry trying to control the action but Man is working from the bottom. Chanburry seems to be working for a kimura but Man defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man is refusing to be controlled, as Chanburry sits in half guard. Man is looking to improve his position.
Chanburry wants to free his trapped foot but Man is holding on for dear life with his legs. Man trying to hold on to Chanburry's head to control him but Chanburry postures up.
Chanburry winds up and cracks Man with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Man pushes Chanburry off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man gets tackled into the cage by Chanburry. Chanburry maintains the clinch. Chanburry wants to get back to striking at distance but Man won't allow it.
Chanburry wants to break the clinch but can't.
Chanburry wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Chanburry pulls Man into guard.
Chanburry looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Man looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Man stands and steps away. Chanburry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. This has been an exciting period of action! Chanburry scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chanburry is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Man is trying to get back to his feet. Man regains half guard. Man is staying active underneath Chanburry, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Chanburry is looking to advance position but Man won't allow it. Chanburry looks gassed! Man moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Chanburry is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top! Man content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Man's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Method Man will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Michael Chanburry's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Man takes the fight into the clinch. Man breaks the clinch.
Chanburry rushes Man and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Man landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Chanburry works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Man lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chanburry! Michael Chanburry has got the better of the ground game so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Man tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Man has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Man is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chanburry drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Man forces Chanburry back against the cage and clinches. Man works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Chanburry is breathing heavily. Man working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short left from Man. This has been an exciting period of action! Man jumps guard and drags Chanburry to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Man has his feet on Chanburry's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Man rushes Chanburry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Chanburry with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Man manages to pull guard.
Man looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Man stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Chanburry to get to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right hand to the side of the head by Man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chanburry blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Man makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Chanburry wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chanburry's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Man lands a nice shot to the body. Man is leaning against Chanburry and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Man pulls guard effortlessly. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Man pushes Chanburry off and gets back to his feet.
Man moves into the clinch. Chanburry jumps guard and drags Man to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Man sitting in guard here, content to control. Man gets to his feet - Chanburry follows without any prompting. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Method Man dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Michael Chanburry's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Man is leaning against Chanburry and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Man drags the fight down to the ground.
Man manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Man controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chanburry wants to hold on but Man pushes him away. Man controlling from mount. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Method Man wasn't doing enough on the ground. Man forces Chanburry back against the cage and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man lands with a right to the head. Man lands an uppercut. Man scores with a nice hook to the head. Man escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chanburry gets in close and instigates a clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chanburry. Chanburry turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chanburry manages to end up in side control. Chanburry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. You can see the frustration on Man's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Man gets back to half guard. Man is concentrating on defense, preventing Chanburry from advancing position. Man wants to control but Chanburry is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man is pressing down on Chanburry's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Man is on top in guard.

Man won't allow Chanburry to get back to his feet. Man stands up from guard. Let's bang! Man moves into the clinch. Nice body punch from Man. Chanburry successfully pulls guard.
Man seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man passes Chanburry's left leg - he's now in half guard. Man takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Michael Chanburry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Method Man is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Method Man wasn't doing enough on the ground. Man forces Chanburry back against the cage and clinches.
And that's the end of the fight! Method Man showed his dominance in that final round. Well Man has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
