Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Kellerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacob Kellerman!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch but Kellerman moves out of range.

Kellerman has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Nice elbow from Kellerman.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kellerman lands with a slapping head kick.
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.

Kellerman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Kellerman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jones wants to get back to full guard.

Kellerman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kellerman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Steve Jones wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Kellerman shows good takedown defense.

Kellerman throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones looks to land a combination but Kellerman avoids it well.
Kellerman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kellerman rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jones lands with a light punch inside.

Kellerman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kellerman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kellerman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kellerman tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.

Jones feints and as Kellerman raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kellerman manages to escape and get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kellerman tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kellerman throws a nice head kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kellerman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Kellerman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kellerman tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.
Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Kellerman sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Kellerman, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Kellerman against the cage but Kellerman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Kellerman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Kellerman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kellerman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kellerman.
Kellerman throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kellerman counters with an inside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kellerman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Kellerman is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jones!
Kellerman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Jones tries to lock up and control but Kellerman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kellerman pushes Jones off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Kellerman has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kellerman wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.

Jacob Kellerman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kellerman scores with a three punch combo!
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kellerman's waist but Kellerman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
Kellerman connects with a high kick.
Kellerman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kellerman throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jones.
A head kick by Kellerman misses
and Jones counters with a two punch combo.
Kellerman misses with a series of wild punches.

Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kellerman!
