Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Cabral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Embree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabral comes to the cage accompanied by Hurt by Johnny Cash. Embree has chosen Infection by the Rx Bandits as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Embree looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cabral fails with the takedown. Embree is looking to clinch but Cabral is avoiding it.
Cabral avoids the body shot from Embree.
Cabral throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Embree's waist but Embree gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cabral off to one side. Cabral keeps the fight on the outside. Cabral closes the distance and clinches up with Embree, looking for a takedown. Cabral pushes Embree against the cage but Embree circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Cabral. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cabral has a takedown stuffed. Cabral fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Embree sprawls well initially but Cabral persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Embree tries to kick Cabral off but Cabral keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cabral is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Embree doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cabral. Cabral has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabral wants to take Embree's back here but Embree is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
You get the feeling that Embree really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Cabral has control of Embree's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Embree regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Cabral forces the positional change into back control. Cabral is breathing heavily. Cabral working for a choke but Embree is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Embree wants to get back to his feet. Cabral tightening his grip on Embree, looking for the choke. Embree really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cabral is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Embree is defending well though. Cabral let's go of the attempt for now. Embree controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Cabral is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Embree with him. Embree is trying to defend but Cabral has an arm under the chin now! Embree grimaces and is forced to tap out!
