Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andy Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson comes to the cage accompanied by Open The Floodgate. Peterson has chosen Remember the Name by Fort Minor as his entrance music. Thomas Peterson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andy Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Henderson counters with a leg kick.
Peterson keeps the fight on the outside.
Peterson throws a sloppy head kick and Henderson moves out of range easily.
Henderson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Peterson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Henderson scrambles back to his feet.
Andy Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henderson is looking to clinch.
Peterson swats away the attempt to clinch by Henderson.
Henderson wants to clinch but Peterson slips to the side

and Peterson counters with a single leg into guard. Henderson didn't expect that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Peterson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Henderson dives on top into guard.

Henderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Peterson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Henderson has managed to get both his arms back between Peterson's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Peterson wants to sweep here but Henderson controlling him for the moment.

Henderson wants to stand but Peterson is controlling his posture from full guard.

Peterson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Henderson manages to get himself to full guard.

Peterson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Henderson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Peterson, into his guard.
Peterson has Henderson pulled in close to control his posture.

Peterson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Peterson has his foot on Henderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henderson works his way back into a safe position though.

Peterson wants to improve his position but Henderson is controlling well.

Henderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peterson is looking for a triangle but Henderson pushes his legs off easily.

Henderson stands up and waves to Peterson to follow him.

Peterson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peterson showed some decent athleticism there.

Henderson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peterson stops Henderson from getting back to his feet.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Peterson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Henderson pinned against the cage. Henderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Peterson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Henderson is fending him off so far but Peterson persists. Nope, Henderson circles away and we're back to standing.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henderson as he avoids it easily.

Peterson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Henderson takes the fight into the clinch.
Henderson lands a shot to the body.
Peterson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Henderson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Henderson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Peterson looking to throw knees to the head but Henderson is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Peterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Peterson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
