Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willie Wynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lance Kilkenny! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilkenny doesn't manage to clinch there - Wynn circles away.
Wynn throws a right hand that misses
and Kilkenny counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kilkenny dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wynn. That did some damage! Wynn cracks a nice hook into Kilkenny's ribs. Wynn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kilkenny sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wynn somewhat. Excellent takedown into side control there by Wynn. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Wynn wants to control but Kilkenny is keeping him busy. Wynn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kilkenny seems a little lost for a moment, as Wynn dominates the positioning. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wynn is trying to get an arm triangle but Kilkenny is defending well. Wynn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The strikes coming from Wynn are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Kilkenny tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wynn cranks the arm and Kilkenny screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kilkenny, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
