Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coffey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around O Dwyer's waist but O Dwyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coffey off to one side.
O Dwyer stuffs the takedown.
O Dwyer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coffey was well out of range. Poor timing from O Dwyer.
Coffey stuffs the takedown.
O Dwyer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Coffey counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Coffey scores with a shot to the side of O Dwyer's head.
Coffey working some nice short punches in the clinch.
O Dwyer has had enough of the clinch but Coffey keeps him there for the moment.

O Dwyer wants to get back to striking at distance but Coffey won't allow it.

Coffey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
O Dwyer tries to break free but Coffey pushes him back against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Coffey.
Coffey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Coffey slips under a jab from O Dwyer.
O Dwyer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Coffey to the mat! Coffey manages to get full guard.
O Dwyer looks gassed!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
O Dwyer is looking to advance position but Coffey has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

O Dwyer avoids a series of strikes thrown by Coffey.
O Dwyer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
O Dwyer is squirming around, avoiding Coffey's attempts to control the action.
BOOM! Coffey connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Coffey lands a big shot there that rocks O Dwyer but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

O Dwyer is in all sorts of trouble here.
O Dwyer is still in real trouble! Can Coffey finish him?
Coffey cracks O Dwyer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Coffey throws some wild stikes that O Dwyer manages to avoid easily.
Coffey throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for O Dwyer because Coffey loaded up on that one.
O Dwyer seems to have recovered his senses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Coffey lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Coffey thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
O Dwyer holds on for dear life.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coffey throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Coffey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
A big strike lands for Coffey! That's really hurt O Dwyer and he's turned his back - Coffey keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Coffey jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willy Coffey!
