Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shane Gillespie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esta me Dinero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gillespie comes to the cage accompanied by Knock U Out. Esta me Dinero has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Gillespie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Esta me Dinero!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dinero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gillespie on his heels. He'll look to pass Gillespie's guard now, I'm sure.
Gillespie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dinero.
Dinero is looking to work some ground and pound but Gillespie has wrist control.
Dinero trying to control but Gillespie is working from the bottom.
Dinero trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gillespie is breathing heavily.
Dinero engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Esta me Dinero has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Dinero jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Dinero shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Dinero is working for a submission of some sort.
Dinero is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Dinero is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

It looks like Dinero might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

BOOM! Dinero connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Dinero lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gillespie checks a low kick from Dinero.
Dinero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gillespie as he jumps to the side.
Sloppy strikes from Gillespie. Those never looked like landing.
Dinero tries to clinch but Gillespie moves out of range.
Dinero throws a jab when Gillespie was well out of range.

Gillespie wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dinero manages to pass to side control.

Dinero works his foot free and advances to mount.

Dinero working for a submission but Gillespie is keeping him at bay.

Dinero has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dinero looking for a guillotine from mount but Gillespie is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dinero landing strikes from the mount and Gillespie is in trouble!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Esta me Dinero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Gillespie throws a right hand that Dinero ducks under and follows up with a left that Dinero also avoids with ease.
Gillespie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dinero.
Dinero fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gillespie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gillespie crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dinero - the referee stops the clock and Gillespie gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dinero. Gillespie manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dinero tries to clinch up.
Dinero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gillespie's waist but Gillespie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dinero off to one side.
Dinero shoots in for a takedown but Gillespie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Shane Gillespie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Esta me Dinero.

Dinero fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gillespie sprawls well initially but Dinero persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dinero in particular looking to stall.
Dinero passes to full mount!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dinero unloads with some shots from mount but Gillespie bucks and avoids them well.
Poor strikes thrown by Dinero there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Dinero lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Dinero working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Dinero get's back to his feet.
Dinero throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gillespie.
Dinero shoots in for a takedown but Gillespie shows good takedown defense.

Dinero has closed the distance and engaged Gillespie in a clinch.
Dinero landing knees to the body.
Gillespie takes a knee to the side of the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Dinero obliges.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dinero will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gillespie up against the cage.
Dinero tries to pull guard but Gillespie holds him up against the cage and eventually Dinero drops back down to his feet.
Dinero missing with knees to the body.
Gillespie has had enough of the clinch but Dinero keeps him there for the moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dinero tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dinero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gillespie just stands there and leans against the cage.
Shane Gillespie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dinero has Gillespie pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gillespie manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gillespie is trying to push Dinero away but Dinero has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Esta me Dinero is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Dinero blocks an uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
Esta me Dinero comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dinero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
