Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isaac Clarksdale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry The Hatchett! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Hatchett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Good leg kick by Clarksdale there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Clarksdale instigates a clinch. The Hatchett tries for a takedown but Clarksdale manages to get underhooks.
Clarksdale manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Clarksdale scores with a shoulder strike. Clarksdale breaks the clinch.
The Hatchett gets tackled into the cage by Clarksdale. Clarksdale maintains the clinch. The Hatchett decides to pull guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Clarksdale gets to his feet - The Hatchett follows without any prompting. The Hatchett lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Clarksdale backs up against the cage.
It looks like Isaac Clarksdale has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The Hatchett has his takedown stuffed and Clarksdale counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Isaac Clarksdale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry The Hatchett. The Hatchett misses with a few strikes there.
The Hatchett with a poor takedown and Clarksdale counters with a two punch combo. Clarksdale buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. The Hatchett closes the distance and clinches up with Clarksdale, looking for a takedown. The Hatchett pushes Clarksdale against the cage but Clarksdale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The Hatchett misses with a series of wild punches.
Clarksdale closes the distance and lands a one-two. Clarksdale drives through and clinches with The Hatchett against the cage.
Clarksdale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Clarksdale fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches The Hatchett on the side of the head. Harry The Hatchett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clarksdale has managed to clinch.
Clarksdale digs a right hand underneath The Hatchett's ribcage. The Hatchett let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Clarksdale displaying some good clinch control by pressing The Hatchett up against the cage. Clarksdale breaks the clinch.

Clarksdale clinches up with The Hatchett and pushes him back against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Clarksdale takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The Hatchett tries for a takedown but Clarksdale circles away easily and Clarksdale counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A shot to the liver by Clarksdale. Beautiful body shot. Clarksdale scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Clarksdale fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Clarksdale has closed the distance and engaged The Hatchett in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The Hatchett punishes Clarksdale's body with a nice straight punch. The Hatchett is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Clarksdale. Clarksdale is looking to slow The Hatchett down with leg kicks. The Hatchett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Clarksdale scores with a nice strike. Clarksdale swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by The Hatchett. The Hatchett with a lazy takedown attempt and Clarksdale counters with a three punch combo that has The Hatchett backing up. The Hatchett nods at Clarksdale to acknowledge the strikes.

The Hatchett seems to have recovered his senses. Clarksdale throws a leg kick which misses The Hatchett's front leg but catches the back leg as The Hatchett tries to avoid it. The Hatchett drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Clarksdale lands a nice leg kick that just misses The Hatchett's sensitive parts. Isaac Clarksdale is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The Hatchett misses with a wild combination.
Clarksdale lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Clarksdale gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Hatchett is trying to pull guard but Clarksdale turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Clarksdale breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Clarksdale lands with a hook. The Hatchett tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Clarksdale feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits The Hatchetts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The Hatchett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clarksdale's waist but Clarksdale gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Hatchett off to one side. Clarksdale gets in close and instigates a clinch. Clarksdale escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The Hatchett tries to keep at a distance but Clarksdale has taken the fight into the clinch. Clarksdale keeps control of The Hatchett as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Clarksdale will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning The Hatchett up against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Clarksdale breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clarksdale prevents The Hatchett from breaking the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Clarksdale. Clarksdale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that The Hatchett can do to turn this around? Clarksdale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab lands there for Clarksdale. Clarksdale lands with a slapping head kick. Clarksdale drops The Hatchett with a right and a left! Clarksdale comes rushing in but The Hatchett regains his composure and manages to keep Clarksdale in guard.

Clarksdale is in close to The Hatchett's body, working some short punches and elbows. Clarksdale trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Clarksdale scoring with some ground and pound. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clarksdale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clarksdale throws a series of punches but The Hatchett avoids them all with ease. The Hatchett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Clarksdale is fending him off so far but The Hatchett persists. Nope, Clarksdale circles away and we're back to standing. The Hatchett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
