Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tristan David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Can't Be Touched by Roy Jones Jr.. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tristan David! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - David looks like he's thinking about clinching though. David feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ortiz wants to get back to his feet but David is in a dominant position and won't allow it. David content to stall in guard here. Ortiz trying to control the position.
David prevents Ortiz from getting back to his feet. David landing with the ground and pound. David gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. David tries to clinch but Ortiz is having none of it. David avoids a lazy jab quite easily. David throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ortiz was covering up waiting for the punch and David finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. David lands a couple of elbows. David has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. David throws a big right hand that misses. David decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ortiz, up you get! Ortiz fails with an attempt to clinch.
David tries to clinch up but Ortiz circles away and keeps his distance. A leg kick checked by Ortiz. Excellent takedown into side control there by David. The referee asks David politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. David prefers to stall for the moment though. David decides to stand back up. Ortiz doesn't manage to clinch there - David circles away.
Tristan David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. David scores a takedown into full mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee warns Ortiz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. David takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ortiz tries to hold on but David pushes him away. David prevents Ortiz from getting the reversal. David looking to control and managing it successfully. David avoids the attempt from Ortiz to control. David is in the full mount, landing strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. David with good strikes from the mount here! David in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns Ortiz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ortiz is in a horrible position here. David smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ortiz is rocked! David lands a big shot to the head and Ortiz winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
