The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seivas shoots in for a takedown but Kobayashi shows good takedown defense.
Seivas misses with a two punch combination.
Kobayashi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Seivas wants to clinch up but Kobayashi keeps it at a distance.

Kobayashi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Seivas on the ground.

Seivas is looking for a triangle but Kobayashi pushes his legs off easily.
Seivas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Seivas has his foot on Kobayashi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kobayashi works his way back into a safe position though.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Seivas is on top in guard.

Seivas slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Seivas working for a guillotine from mount but Kobayashi is in no mood to give up.
Kobayashi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Seivas is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Kobayashi is forced to tap! Great finish!
