Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Artem Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Truman Roosevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivanov comes to the cage accompanied by Mad World. Roosevelt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gravel Pit by Wu Tang Clan. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosevelt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Roosevelt wants it to stay on the feet. Roosevelt walks into a jab. Roosevelt throws a nice head kick!
Ivanov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Roosevelt. Artem Ivanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ivanov walks into a stiff left hand from Roosevelt. Roosevelt throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ivanov loads up on a big right hand but Roosevelt slips the punch. Roosevelt fails in his attempt to clinch. Ivanov shoots in but no luck this time. Ivanov shoots in and drives through. Roosevelt sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artem Ivanov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roosevelt ducks under a wild hook from Ivanov. Roosevelt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Ivanov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ivanov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ivanov trying to control but Roosevelt is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roosevelt keeping full guard, as Ivanov tries to pass. Roosevelt is pulling down on Ivanov's head. It's preventing any offense from Ivanov, at least for the moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Roosevelt tries to clinch but Ivanov is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Roosevelt. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Roosevelt. Ivanov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roosevelt is fending him off so far but Ivanov persists. Nope, Roosevelt circles away and we're back to standing. Roosevelt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ivanov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roosevelt as he jumps to the side. The fighters circle momentarily. Roosevelt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Roosevelt, right into the meat.
Ivanov throws a series of punches but Roosevelt avoids them all with ease. Ivanov shoots for a takedown but Roosevelt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ivanov takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roosevelt ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Ivanov throws a jab when Roosevelt was well out of range. Ivanov fails to land with a series of punches.
Roosevelt goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Roosevelt throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Truman Roosevelt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Roosevelt has Ivanov up against the cage in a clinch.
Roosevelt lands a damaging elbow. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Roosevelt with a knee to the head.
Ivanov is rocked! Roosevelt wants the takedown. Ivanov is fighting it off but Roosevelt persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ivanov's guard against the cage. Ivanov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roosevelt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roosevelt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ivanov keeping full guard, as Roosevelt tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roosevelt lands a couple of elbows. Roosevelt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ivanov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roosevelt has managed to get both his arms back between Ivanov's legs - danger averted. Roosevelt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Roosevelt makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ivanov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Roosevelt is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ivanov. Roosevelt lands a few punches from side control. Ivanov struggling a bit here. Roosevelt is looking to take a break and control but Ivanov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Roosevelt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ivanov keeps working. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roosevelt might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ivanov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivanov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ivanov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ivanov misses with the combination.
Roosevelt scores with a kick to the midsection. Ivanov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Roosevelt sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ivanov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Roosevelt finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Ivanov is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Ivanov fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roosevelt lands a high kick!

And that's the end of the fight! Truman Roosevelt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roosevelt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Truman Roosevelt! After the fight, Truman Roosevelt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
