Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Taras Bulba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Womack!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Womack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bulba was covering up waiting for the punch and Womack finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Womack sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bulba is trying to keep Womack in close.
Bulba working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Womack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Womack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Womack wants to control from the top but Bulba keeps moving.
Bulba is looking for a triangle here but Womack uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Womack goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bulba has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Womack but great work by Bulba.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Womack is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Womack is not content to let Bulba control the position.
Womack is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
It looks like Tommy Womack has been cut.
Womack wants to control but Bulba postures up.
Bulba wants to lay and pray for a moment but Womack keeps working.
Womack struggling a bit here.
Womack tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Womack doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?
Bulba tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bulba can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Womack is looking to escape.
Bulba is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Womack is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bulba fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Bulba wants to control the pace but Womack is squirming around nicely.
Bulba looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Womack covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taras Bulba!
