Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiago Camargo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tobia Funke! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camargo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Funke looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Camargo! Camargo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Funke looking to ground and pound but Camargo is blocking nicely. Funke throwing strikes here but Camargo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Funke content just to control the position here. Camargo is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Funke sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Camargo throwing hammer fists to the chest of Funke. What's that going to do exactly? Funke connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Camargo wants to hold on but Funke pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Funke putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Funke unloads with some shots from mount but Camargo bucks and avoids them well.
Camargo tries to lock up and control but Funke gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Funke wants to control the pace but Camargo is squirming around nicely. Funke landing punches. Funke wants to control the pace but Camargo is squirming around nicely. Funke scoring with strikes but Camargo is staying in there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Funke landing strikes, looking to finish! Camargo regains half guard. Funke content to control rather than advance. Camargo is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Funke blocks the strikes from Camargo.
Funke wants to control but Camargo is keeping him busy. Camargo is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Camargo is looking to escape. Camargo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Camargo is breathing heavily. Funke throwing shots but Camargo is blocking nicely.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A slapping leg kick lands for Funke.
Funke is looking to clinch but Camargo is avoiding it.
Camargo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Camargo darts in and clinches Funke up against the cage. Funke missing with knees to the body.
Funke fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Camargo is looking to break free of the clinch but Funke has double underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Funke leaning against his opponent.
Funke misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Camargo.
Funke lands a shot to the body. Funke can't find room to land a body shot as Camargo controls the action.
Camargo misses with a hook from the clinch. Funke throws a punch but it's blocked by Camargo. Funke stalling in the clinch but Camargo improves position. Camargo can't break the clinch.
Funke goes for a takedown in the clinch but Camargo prevents it.
Come on Funke - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Nice body punch from Funke. Camargo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Funke is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tobia Funke dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Camargo fails with the takedown and Funke counters with a nice leg kick. Funke drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Funke cracks Camargo with a solid left hand. Camargo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Funke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Funke manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Funke sitting in guard here, content to control. Funke looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funke works over Camargo with some ground and pound from guard. Funke passes into half guard. Funke is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Camargo flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Camargo is staying active underneath Funke, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Camargo is looking to control Funke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Camargo avoid being mounted? Funke thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Camargo thows a body shot but no joy. Camargo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Funke trying to control the position from guard on top but Camargo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Camargo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Funke!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Camargo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Funke can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Funke tries to hold on but Camargo postures up. Funke tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Funke is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Camargo is staying active. Funke really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Funke wants to hold on but Camargo pushes him away. Funke tries to get back to half guard but can't. Camargo takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Funke turns into Camargo and is now in his guard.

Tobia Funke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Funke shoots for a double leg takedown but Camargo sprawls well. He's pushed Funke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Camargo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Camargo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Camargo trying to control the position but Funke is working away. Funke is being controlled here. Camargo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Funke is trying to get back to half guard. Funke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Camargo wants to control but Funke is keeping him busy. Camargo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Funke, who protects the arm well. Camargo staying calm. Funke is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Camargo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Funke manages to get to full guard.
Camargo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Funke, up you get! Camargo tries to land a body kick so Funke counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Camargo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Funke passes to side control. Funke is looking to take a break and control but Camargo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Funke tries to score with some ground and pound. Camargo controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. You can see the frustration on Camargo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Funke moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Camargo holding on. Camargo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Funke's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tobia Funke. I've got Funke winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
