Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Hosnia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peeta Mellark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Hosnia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peeta Mellark! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hosnia wants to land a leg kick but Mellark is out of range. An inside leg kick lands from Hosnia. Hosnia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mellark throws out the jab. Mellark misses with the combination.
Hosnia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mellark. Mellark dips to his left and cracks Hosnia with an uppercut! Hosnia tries a head kick but it misses.
A cross from Mellark lands. Hosnia moves out of range as Mellark strikes. A slow jab from Mellark misses its intended target. Mellark fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hosnia scoring well with a low kick there.
Mellark looking to score a takedown here. Hosnia is defending well but Mellark drives through and ends up in Hosnia's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hosnia looking for a guillotine here but Mellark defends easily.
Mellark trying to control the position from guard on top but Hosnia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mellark stands up over Hosnia, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hosnia keeping moving, preventing Mellark from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hosnia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mellark is aware though and is defending well. Hosnia throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hosnia has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mellark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hosnia holds on and takes a little breather. Mellark trying to control but Hosnia is working from the bottom. Hosnia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hosnia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mellark controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hosnia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Peeta Mellark. Hosnia throws a head kick that misses. Hosnia walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mellark checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Some bone on bone action there as Mellark checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Hosnia takes one on the button. Hosnia misses with a leg kick and Mellark counters with a straight right hand. Hosnia avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hosnia thumps Mellark with a low kick. Hosnia misses with a takedown attempt - Mellark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hosnia lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Mellark throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hosnia counters with a low kick, right behind Mellark 's knee. Mellark throws a right hand that misses
and Hosnia counters with a nice body kick.
Mellark tries to bum rush Hosnia with a series of wild strikes but Hosnia uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mellark is looking to land body kicks. Mellark shoots in but no luck this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mellark sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mellark misses with an uppercut. Hosnia wants to land a leg kick but Mellark is out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peeta Mellark will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Mellark throws a hook to the side of Hosnia's head but Hosnia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A low kick from Hosnia misses and Hosnia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hosnia turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Good standup being displayed there by Mellark as he connects with a hook. A nice inside leg kick there by Mellark. That's going to slow Hosnia down. Mellark might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Mellark throws an off balance right hand
and Hosnia counters with a thumping low kick. Mellark connects with a body shot that sends Hosnia's belly button to the back. Hosnia avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mellark dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hosnia. That did some damage! Peeta Mellark seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mellark will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mellark looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hosnia! Mellark lands a nice shot to the head. Hosnia is squirming around, avoiding Mellark's attempts to control the action. Mellark tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mellark avoids the attempt from Hosnia to control. Mellark content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hosnia is working to get back to half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Mellark manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hosnia to take his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Hosnia's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hosnia rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mellark can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hosnia is looking to escape. Peeta Mellark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Hosnia keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mellark. Hosnia lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mellark's sensitive parts. Mellark with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mellark checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Mellark comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mellark lands a nice shot to the body.
Nice body kick there by Hosnia. Mellark checks a low kick from Hosnia. Hosnia looks for the body kick but Mellark saw that one coming. Peeta Mellark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hosnia is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mellark.
It looks like Richard Hosnia has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mellark throws a leg kick which misses Hosnia's front leg but catches the back leg as Hosnia tries to avoid it. Mellark feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hosnia's calf. Mellark takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Mellark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mellark is looking to slow Hosnia down with leg kicks. Hosnia on the wrong end of a nice jab. Mellark shoots in and bounces Hosnia off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mellark is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hosnia is looking for a triangle but Mellark pushes his legs off easily.
Hosnia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mellark manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hosnia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hosnia working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mellark is controlling Hosnia's posture. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peeta Mellark has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hosnia throws a wild body kick that Mellark sees coming a mile off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mellark takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Peeta Mellark. Well Mellark has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
