Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bekuto Sumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bekuto Sumi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JB Costa! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sumi gets caught napping as Costa dives in and scores a takedown. Sumi manages to retain guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Costa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sumi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sumi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sumi! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Costa can do anything to dispel that myth. Costa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Costa is working for a submission of some sort.
Costa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sumi has managed to free his arm - good work. Costa wants to work for an arm triangle but Sumi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Costa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sumi gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sumi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Costa has Sumi in his guard. Costa has his foot on Sumi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sumi works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sumi trying to control the position from guard on top but Costa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Costa looking for a guillotine here but Sumi defends easily.
Costa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sumi wants to control from the top but Costa keeps moving. Sumi tries to stand but Costa is controlling from the bottom. Sumi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Costa keeping moving, preventing Sumi from controlling successfully. Costa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sumi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Costa working for a triangle but Sumi defends it easily.
Sumi controlling from the top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sumi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Costa's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Costa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sumi pulls his head out easily. Costa trying to get back to full guard but Sumi takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Costa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sumi thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Sumi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Costa wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Sumi trying to control momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sumi is persistently looking for the submission but Costa is defending it well.
Sumi is breathing heavily. Costa turns into Sumi and is now in his guard.
Costa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sumi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Costa, into his guard. Sumi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Costa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sumi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JB Costa dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Costa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sumi's guard. Costa has gone for a leg lock! Sumi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Costa's guard. Costa throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sumi uses it to pass to side control.
Costa is looking for a sweep. Costa is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sumi is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sumi thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Costa wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Sumi trying to control. Costa tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Costa is working to get back to half guard.
Costa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sumi trying to control but he's not successful this time. Costa is looking to get to half guard. Sumi takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Costa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sumi dives on top into guard. Sumi trying to control the position from guard on top but Costa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sumi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sumi wants to get up but he can't break Costa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Costa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sumi defends well. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sumi jumps into side control! Sumi decides to take the fight back to the feet. JB Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Costa stuffs the takedown. Sumi shoots in but Costa avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bekuto Sumi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Costa scores with a takedown into Sumi's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Costa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sumi looks panicked! Costa has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Sumi escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Sumi! Costa tries to bench press Sumi off him but Sumi keeps the position. Costa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Costa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sumi pulls his head out easily. Costa actively working from the bottom here. Sumi works his way into full mount! Costa tries to improve his position but instead Sumi has taken his back! I really don't envy Costa right now.

Costa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sumi escapes and throws Costa's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Costa tries to buck Sumi off but Sumi is having none of it. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Costa regains half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sumi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Costa actively working from the bottom here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Costa looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! JB Costa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Costa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
