The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larson throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Larson misses with a series of wild punches.
Larson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Larson cracks Mitchell with an open hand slap. Mitchell fails with the takedown. A punch combination from Larson misses. Mitchell scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mitchell tries to pass to full mount but Larson defends it. Mitchell seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Larson has recovered full guard. Mitchell is breathing heavily. Mitchell prevents Larson from getting back to his feet. Mitchell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Larson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mitchell dives into side control.
Larson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Mitchell trying to control the action but Larson is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Larson is trying to buck Mitchell off.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A jab-cross combination lands for Larson and sends Mitchell crashing to the mat! Larson follows him down to the mat - Mitchell regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Jason Mitchell has been cut. Mitchell looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larson tries to stand and escape but Mitchell is controlling the position. Mitchell desperately trying to maintain half guard. Mitchell looks like he's trying to stand up.
Larson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mitchell is looking to control Larson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mitchell avoid being mounted? Mitchell looking for submissions off his back. Larson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Larson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mitchell moves away. Larson works Mitchell's body with a nice hook. Larson closes the distance and lands a one-two. Larson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Larson swinging wilding here.

Brock Larson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jason Mitchell's cut. That's time! Mitchell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A punch combination from Larson misses. Mitchell fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mitchell. Larson pushes Mitchell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mitchell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mitchell tries for a kimura but Larson is defending well. Mitchell in side control, just content to control the action for now. Mitchell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Larson's legs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitchell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mitchell trying to control the position but Larson is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Larson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mitchell takes a little break here. Larson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mitchell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larson keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Mitchell seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Larson misses with the combination.
Mitchell on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Larson. Larson obviously looking to wear him down.
Larson throws a combination. Mitchell tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Larson lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Mitchell is looking to close the distance but Larson sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Mitchell crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Mitchell is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
