Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Ngo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Barker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooh!!! Barker has knocked Ngo down with a huge combo! Barker steps away and waves a wobbly Ngo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Henry Ngo has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ngo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barker sprawls well. Barker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ngo gets slowly back to his feet.

Ngo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Ngo has gone for a leg lock! Barker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ngo's guard.
Ngo controls Barker momentarily but Barker frees himself.

We're going to have a standup here because Henry Ngo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Barker feints and then cracks Ngo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ngo down.
Barker lands with a nice body kick.
Barker lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ngo takes a step back to recover.
Ngo has his takedown stuffed
and Barker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Barker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Travis Barker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ngo throws a hook but Barker avoids it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barker lands with a nice combination. Ngo backs away looking to recover.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ngo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Barker is trying to maintain a safe position but Ngo gets an underhook and turns Barker into the cage.

Ngo has clasped his hands together around Barker's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Ngo grinds an elbow into Barker's temple.
Ngo scores with a couple of short elbows.
Ngo throws a strike aimed at the side of Barker's head but Barker avoids it well.
Barker gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Ngo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Barker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Barker is trying to keep Ngo in close.
Ngo throws a big right hand that misses.
Ngo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barker is keeping the position for now.
Barker pulls Ngo in close to his closed guard and prevents Ngo from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ngo is in close to Barker's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ngo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ngo throwing strikes from guard but Barker blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Barker dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Barker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ngo shoots in for a takedown but Barker shows good takedown defense.
Barker tries to land a front kick but Ngo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Barker sizes up Ngo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.


Henry Ngo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Ngo misses with a few strikes there.
Ngo shoots in and drives through. Barker sprawls well.

Barker tries to clinch but Ngo is having none of it.
Barker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ngo avoids the head kick by Barker.
Barker looks to land a combination. Ngo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Oh Ngo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Barker moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Ngo! Barker continues to tee off on Ngo, landing with a left and a right! Barker connects with a right hand that leaves Ngo sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Barker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Travis Barker!
Travis Barker is the new middleweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Travis Barker thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
