PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johhny Stan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johhny Stan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johhny Stan!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stan misses with a two punch combination.
Jensen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stan.
Jensen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jensen somewhat.
Stan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jensen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stan as he avoids it easily.
Some wild striking there from Stan.

Stan gets caught flat footed, as Jensen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jensen throws a big elbow that misses.

Jensen is looking to work some ground and pound but Stan has wrist control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jensen connects with a nice short shot to Stan's temple.

Stan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jensen scoring with strikes but Stan is staying in there.
Jensen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jensen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jensen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jensen postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Stan in real trouble here! The ref calls for Stan to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
