Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Dirt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Papabol Pol! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pol looks to land a body kick but Dirt moved away. Pol lands a nice looking body shot.
Pol misses with a series of wild punches.
Pol throws out a loose jab but Dirt uses good head movement to avoid it. Pol keeps the fight on the outside. Pol stuns Dirt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Pol stuffs the takedown. Pol throws a chopping leg kick but Dirt manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Pol pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dirt is out of range and Pol settles back down. Pol rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dirt moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dirt pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pol misses with a body kick. Dirt moves out of range of the body kick from Pol.
Dirt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pol's head backwards. Dirt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dirt blocks a head kick by Pol.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dirt avoids a kick to the body.
Dirt scores with a jab. Pol acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pol!
Pol swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dirt counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dirt is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pol has managed to free his arm - good work. Pol looking for submissions off his back. Dirt seems to be working for a kimura but Pol defends the submission attempt. Dirt passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pol is trying desperately to improve position. Pol wants to control but Dirt is having none of it. Pol is desperately trying to improve his position but Dirt has a good base and remains in mount. Pol really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dirt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dirt is working for a guillotine from mount but Pol frees his head quite easily.
Dirt quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Dirt but it's paid off an Pol is forced to tap! Nice work by Dirt.
