Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ali Cali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cali comes to the cage accompanied by Never Say Die. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ali Cali! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexander Shlemenko! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cali scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Shlemenko wants to control but Cali is keeping busy.
Shlemenko is trying to get back to full guard. Cali lands with a punch from half guard. Cali lands strikes from half guard. Cali is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Shlemenko is trying to maintain the position but Cali is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cali keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Cali will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cali has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cali trying to control the action but Shlemenko is working from the bottom. Shlemenko is trying to control but can't.
Alexander Shlemenko has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Shlemenko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shlemenko shoots in and drives through. Cali sprawls well. Shlemenko scores with a one two! Cali had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cali changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shlemenko tries to avoid it but Cali manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shlemenko to the ground. Shlemenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cali lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Cali avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cali will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ali Cali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cali is breathing heavily. Cali changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shlemenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shlemenko wants to control but Cali postures up. Shlemenko is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Shlemenko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cali is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shlemenko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Cali prevents Shlemenko from escaping the position. Shlemenko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cali wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cali is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shlemenko has escaped the position, nice work there. Shlemenko takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cali stands up and beckons Shlemenko to his feet. Cali fails to land the takedown. Cali swinging wildly here.
Cali tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shlemenko paws at him with a jab and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A head kick by Shlemenko misses and Cali counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shlemenko! This has been an exciting period of action! Cali controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ali Cali dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shlemenko gets caught napping as Cali dives in and scores a takedown. Shlemenko manages to retain guard. Cali trying to control but Shlemenko is working from the bottom. Shlemenko tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shlemenko trying to control the position.
Cali stands up from Shlemenko's guard - Cali perhaps looking for a knockout. Cali fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shlemenko avoids it really well and circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Cali. Cali shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shlemenko as he jumps to the side. Shlemenko shoots in but Cali avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cali throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Shlemenko was covering up waiting for the punch and Cali finishes the takedown easily into guard. Shlemenko trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cali working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Shlemenko keeping moving, preventing Cali from controlling successfully. Shlemenko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cali! Cali is desperately trying to improve his position but Shlemenko has a good base and remains in mount. Shlemenko misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko tries to control but Cali wriggling away. Cali doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Cali is just holding on here. Shlemenko manages to take his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shlemenko is trying to control. Cali wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cali tries to get to full guard but Shlemenko has control of the leg. Shlemenko wants to control but Cali is keeping him busy. Cali has one foot on Shlemenko's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Shlemenko has managed to clinch.
Shlemenko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cali pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cali looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Shlemenko! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ali Cali dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Shlemenko darts in trying to clinch and Cali counters with a shoot takedown. Shlemenko fights it but they end up in guard. Cali decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Shlemenko avoids the head kick by Cali.
Shlemenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cali's waist but Cali gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shlemenko off to one side. Cali shoots in for a takedown but Shlemenko shows good takedown defense. Cali takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Shlemenko scores with a takedown into Cali's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cali is looking for a triangle but Shlemenko pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shlemenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Cali is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shlemenko makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cali uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Cali gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ali Cali overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shlemenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cali has Shlemenko pulled in close to control his posture. Shlemenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Cali is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cali wriggles free and stands up. Shlemenko closes the distance but Cali moves to the side and Cali counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cali trying to control but Shlemenko is working from the bottom. Shlemenko trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shlemenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Shlemenko, not yet. Shlemenko is trying to keep Cali in close.
Shlemenko wants to sweep here but Cali controlling him for the moment. Shlemenko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cali is squirming around, avoiding Shlemenko's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cali is trying desperately to improve position. Shlemenko goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cali is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shlemenko is trying to keep Cali in close.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ali Cali. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cali, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
