Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Speedy Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Atkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to baddest of the bad - rev. horton heat. Mac is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Name of the Game - Crystal Method. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danny Mac!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkins has closed the distance and engaged Mac in a clinch.
Mac is struggling to control the position.
Mac's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Atkins cracks Mac with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mac throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Atkins misses with a jab, cross combination.
Atkins moves into range and clinches up with Mac.
Mac landing knees to the head.
Mac leaning his opponent against the cage.
Mac breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Atkins getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Atkins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mac shoots in but Atkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Atkins clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mac scores with a knee to the head.
Atkins is looking to break free of the clinch but Mac has double underhooks.
Atkins avoids the elbow strike from Mac, against the cage.
Atkins tries to break the clinch but Mac is controlling the position.
Mac using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Mac throws a knee to the head but misses.
Atkins tries to break free but Mac pushes him back against the cage.
Mac lands an elbow inside that Atkins shrugs off.
Atkins wants to get back to striking at distance but Mac won't allow it.
Mac tries a knee to the head but Atkins blocks it.
Mac with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Atkins goes for a takedown attempt but Mac pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Atkins throws a right hand that Mac ducks under and follows up with a left that Mac also avoids with ease.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Atkins checks a leg kick.
Mac throws a series of punches but Atkins moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Atkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Speedy Atkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Atkins throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mac counters with a slapping leg kick.
Atkins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mac can pounce on him.
Mac misses with a low kick as Atkins jumps back.
Atkins throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Atkins lands a leg kick that knocks Mac off balance momentarily.
Atkins clinches.
Mac is trying to pull guard but Atkins has him pressed against the cage.
Atkins stalling in the clinch but Mac improves position.

Speedy Atkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Mac.
Mac tries to pull guard but Atkins holds him up against the cage and eventually Mac drops back down to his feet.
Mac has Atkins pressed against the cage, preventing Atkins from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mac comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Mac tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Atkins just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mac tries to pull guard but Atkins forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mac's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Mac looks gassed!
Mac manages to break the clinch.
Atkins misses with a wild combination.
Mac looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Atkins closes the distance and clinches.
Nice elbow from Mac.
Atkins is trying to break the clinch but Mac is controlling him.
Atkins is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mac is keeping busy.
Mac jumps into guard, dragging Atkins to the mat.
Atkins slips nicely into half guard.
Atkins is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mac is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Speedy Atkins!
