Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joseph Ddd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Saemon Havarian! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ddd is trying hard to land a takedown here. Havarian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Havarian shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ddd manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Havarian is stalling in the full guard. Havarian must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Havarian trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ddd manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ddd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ddd trying to control the position from guard on top but Havarian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ddd is looking to work some ground and pound but Havarian has wrist control.

Ddd trying to control the position from guard on top but Havarian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ddd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Havarian manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ddd has Havarian in his guard. Havarian with a flurry of punches that miss. Ddd has control of Havarian's left arm, preventing Havarian from doing any damage. Havarian tries to free his leg and advance position but Ddd is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Havarian wants to control from the top but Ddd keeps moving. Havarian looking to sit in guard and control but Ddd gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ddd trying to control but Havarian is working from the bottom. Ddd passes into half guard. Ddd is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Havarian doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ddd.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Havarian tries to get to full guard but Ddd has control of the leg. Havarian looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ddd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ddd is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was a close round but I would say that Joseph Ddd will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ddd shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ddd showed some decent athleticism there. Ddd wants to work for an arm triangle but Havarian is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ddd content to control rather than advance. Ddd missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ddd seems to be working for a kimura but Havarian defends the submission attempt. Ddd looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ddd is looking to pass Havarian's guard but actually Havarian recovers to full guard. Havarian looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Havarian keeping moving, preventing Ddd from controlling successfully. Ddd is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Havarian is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ddd throwing strikes but missing. Ddd tries to free his leg and advance position but Havarian is retaining full guard. Ddd passes easily into side control. Nice work. Havarian tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ddd goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Havarian has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ddd but great work by Havarian.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Havarian is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ddd knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Havarian wants to take a breather but Ddd manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Havarian. Ddd is pulling down on Havarian's head. It's preventing any offense from Havarian, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ddd controls Havarian momentarily but Havarian frees himself. Havarian preventing the sweep. Ddd working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Havarian. Havarian wants to pass the guard but Ddd is keeping the position. Ddd seems keen to control Havarian's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Ddd dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Havarian trying to move into half guard but instead Ddd has managed to sweep! Havarian keeping moving, preventing Ddd from controlling successfully. Ddd controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ddd drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Havarian dives on top into guard. Ddd is looking for a triangle but Havarian pushes his legs off easily.

Ddd seems to be working for a kimura but Havarian defends the submission attempt. Havarian is looking to control Ddd's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Havarian avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ddd moves into full mount! Havarian won't be happy about that! Havarian avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ddd.
Havarian tries to reverse the position but Ddd maintains control. Ddd looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Ddd throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Havarian is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ddd pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

And that's the end of the fight! Joseph Ddd showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ddd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
