Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paulo Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Sibelius! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Reyes throws a series of punches but Sibelius avoids them all with ease. Reyes throws a body punch but Sibelius moves out of range. Reyes digs a good hook to Sibelius's body.
Paulo Reyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reyes thuds a left hand into Sibelius's body. A slapping leg kick lands for Reyes.

Reyes stays in close to Sibelius's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reyes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sibelius manages to avoid it. Sibelius drops his hands momentarily and Reyes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Sibelius shoots in but Reyes avoids the takedown attempt easily. Reyes looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Reyes missing with a left hand there. Sibelius was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sibelius needs to keep his hands up - Reyes had a free shot at his head there. Reyes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sibelius will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Reyes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! That kick from Reyes tenderised Sibelius's leg. Sibelius is trying to keep his angry face on. Reyes throws a hook but Sibelius blocks it. Reyes scores with a sloppy right hand. Sibelius should have avoided that one. Reyes misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sibelius ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Reyes throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reyes loads up on a big right hand but Sibelius slips the punch. Reyes staying out of range there. Sibelius throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reyes sees it coming and avoids it easily. Reyes throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sibelius moves away from the strike by Reyes. Sibelius throws a lazy right hand but Reyes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sibelius shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reyes as he jumps to the side. Sibelius shoots in and bounces Reyes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Paulo Reyes will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jean Sibelius's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Reyes looks to score with a jab to the body but Sibelius is just out of range. Sibelius thows a body shot but no joy. Sibelius changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reyes tries to avoid it but Sibelius manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reyes to the ground. Reyes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Reyes lands with a good body shot. No luck for Sibelius with that takedown attempt. Paulo Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Sibelius. Sibelius takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reyes missing with a left hand there. Sibelius was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sibelius shoots in but no luck this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sibelius wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sibelius shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reyes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Reyes manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sibelius avoids a strike by Reyes and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Reyes's guard! Fantastic escape!

Sibelius in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jean Sibelius has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Paulo Reyes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Reyes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sibelius drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sibelius jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sibelius throws a big right hand that misses. Sibelius keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reyes's head.

Sibeliusis looking to pass into half guard but Reyes pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Reyes is in guard. Reyes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sibelius trying to keep a closed guard but Reyes is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reyes content to stall in guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Paulo Reyes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reyes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
