Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kjell Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Fitzwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillon comes to the cage accompanied by Pipes & Drums 1st Battalion Scots Guards. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kjell Dillon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Fitzwell! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fitzwell looks to land a right hand but Dillon moved out of range. Dillon closes the distance and clinches up with Fitzwell, looking for a takedown. Dillon pushes Fitzwell against the cage but Fitzwell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fitzwell thows a left - swing and a miss! Dillon misses with a takedown attempt - Fitzwell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fitzwell fails to land with a series of punches.
Dillon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fitzwell tries to avoid it but Dillon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fitzwell to the ground. Fitzwell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kjell Dillon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dillon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fitzwell throws out the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dillon shoots for a takedown but Fitzwell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dillon avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fitzwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dillon moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fitzwell misses the shot to the body. Dillon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fitzwell is fending him off so far but Dillon persists. Nope, Fitzwell circles away and we're back to standing. Dillon slips a straight right by Fitzwell. Fitzwell misses with a series of wild punches.
Dillon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dillon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fitzwell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dillon's guard. Dillon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dillon looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Fitzwell puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Fitzwell is looking to take a break and control but Dillon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dillon tries to roll over but Fitzwell keeps him under control. Fitzwell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fitzwell lands a nice short elbow. Fitzwell is tying to control. Dillon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dillon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fitzwell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fitzwell's back! Dillon is persistently looking for the submission but Fitzwell is defending it well.
Dillon is breathing heavily. Dillon tries to get the hooks in deep but Fitzwell pushed the leg off. Dillon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fitzwell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fitzwell wants to get back to his feet. Fitzwell rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Dillon is pressing down on Fitzwell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fitzwell is holding on for now. Dillon is trying to control the action in half guard but Fitzwell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fitzwell is defending against the submission attempts here by Dillon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fitzwell scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Kjell Dillon has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fitzwell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kjell Dillon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fitzwell throws a hook to the side of Dillon's head but Dillon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Dillon shoots for a double leg takedown but Fitzwell sprawls well. He's pushed Dillon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dillon fails with the takedown. Fitzwell lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Dillon can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Fitzwell and Dillon drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Fitzwell.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Fitzwell! Richard Fitzwell is the new heavyweight champion!
