Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dickson Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manolis Kotzagiannis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotzagiannis has chosen Motorhead - Bomber as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dickson Yamada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manolis Kotzagiannis! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kotzagiannis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kotzagiannis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Dickson Yamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kotzagiannis misses with a wild combination.
Yamada throws a one two combo.
Yamada scores with a jab. Kotzagiannis acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Yamada tries to clinch up but Kotzagiannis circles away and keeps his distance. Kotzagiannis swats away the attempt to clinch by Yamada. Kotzagiannis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Yamada.
Kotzagiannis keeps the fight on the outside. A combination from Yamada does no damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yamada misses with a combination
and Kotzagiannis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yamada won't be happy with that. Kotzagiannis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Yamada is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamada holds on to Kotzagiannis's head and controls the position momentarily. Kotzagiannis in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kotzagiannis throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Yamada works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Kotzagiannis is looking for a kimura but Yamada is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kotzagiannis to get the leverage. Yamada slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kotzagiannis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kotzagiannis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Yamada tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kotzagiannis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yamada is keeping the position for now. Yamada manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kotzagiannis manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kotzagiannis working for a triangle but Yamada defends it easily.
Yamada trying to control but Kotzagiannis is working from the bottom. Kotzagiannis keeping full guard, as Yamada tries to pass. Yamada wants to control from the top but Kotzagiannis keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kotzagiannis wants to stand but Yamada is controlling the position.
Dickson Yamada has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Yamada keeps Kotzagiannis at a distance using the push kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamada lands with a kick to the ribs.
Left hook, right uppercut from Yamada. Yamada changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kotzagiannis looks gassed! Yamada throws a nice inside leg kick. Yamada clobbers Kotzagiannis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A kick lands to the mid section there for Yamada. Yamada rushes Kotzagiannis with punches - Kotzagiannis moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Kotzagiannis goes down! Yamada follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dickson Yamada!
