Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Koc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vel Sirra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sirra's choice of entrance music: Omen by Prodigy. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kurt Koc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vel Sirra!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koc slips a jab and a cross from Sirra.

Sirra swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Koc moves into the clinch.
Koc lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Koc digs a right hand into Sirra's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sirra's gas tank.
Koc works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Koc lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Sirra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koc doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koc manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sirra wants to sweep here but Koc controlling him for the moment.

Sirra is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sirra wants to stand and escape but Koc is having none of it.

Sirra had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Koc is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sirra Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Koc's back instead.
Sirra is not going to allow Koc to sit and survive in this position.

Sirra connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Koc to escape the position.
Sirra lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Koc.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sirra has his foot on Koc's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koc works his way back into a safe position though.

Sirra tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koc swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Koc fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sirra, pushing him back against the cage.

Sirra fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Koc lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sirra.

Koc has Sirra pushed against the cage.

Koc drags the fight down to the ground.
Sirra sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Koc's guard.
Sirra is stalling here. Koc is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sirra seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Koc has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well Koc has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
