The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abidi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hoosto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hoosto ducks under a wild hook from Abidi.
Abidi throws a right and a left that Hoosto avoids nicely.
Abidi tries to clinch but Hoosto moves away
and Hoosto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abidi thinking.
Amir Abidi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abidi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hoosto misses with a series of wild punches.
Abidi fails with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abidi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Abidi misses with a combination
letting Hoosto counter with a right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hoosto. Abidi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hoosto throws a right and a left that both miss.
Abidi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hoosto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Abidi dodges the punch combination from Hoosto.
Abidi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ernesto Hoosto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amir Abidi.

Abidi wants to clinch
letting Hoosto counter with a right hand.
Hoosto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Abidi throws a combination that misses
and Hoosto counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Abidi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Abidi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hoosto counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hoosto stalks Abidi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Abidi's face. Abidi staggers backwards, shaken.
Hoosto is looking to wear down Abidi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Abidi swinging wildly here.
Abidi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hoosto circles away quickly and effectively.
Abidi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Abidi throws a right hand that misses
and Hoosto counters with a one-two to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Abidi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoosto pinned against the cage. Hoosto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hoosto throws a series of strikes that have Abidi backpedaling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ernesto Hoosto dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hoosto defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abidi.
Abidi misses with a double jab
and Hoosto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Abidi misses with a lunging right hand
and Hoosto counters with a series of strikes. Abidi will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Hoosto counters with a straight that turns Abidi's legs to rubber! Hoosto pushes forward with more strikes and Abidi goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
