Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Corpuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Corpuz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyson Griffin! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corpuz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Corpuz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Corpuz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Griffin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Corpuz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Griffin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Griffin prevents Corpuz from moving into mount. Griffin tries to buck Corpuz off but Corpuz is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Corpuz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Griffin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin is looking to regain half guard here but Corpuz keeps moving and retains side control. Griffin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Corpuz's best efforts. Corpuz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Corpuz works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin is trying to buck Corpuz off. Corpuz has an Americana. Griffin didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Corpuz is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Corpuz hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Chris Corpuz!
