Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinayak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rock moves away.
Rock looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rock moves away from the strike by Vinayak.
No joy there for Rock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vinayak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vinayak lands in his opponent's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Vinayak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Vinayak gets the takedown into side control.
Vinayak creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Vinayak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Vinayak stands up and beckons Rock to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vinayak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rock to the mat! Rock manages to get full guard.

Vinayak stalling.
Vinayak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Vinayak is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rock has managed to free his arm - good work.
Vinayak looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Vinayak has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vinayak lands with some strikes.
Rock is in a horrible position here. Vinayak smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vinayak controlling the pace for now.

Rock is still in real trouble! Can Vinayak finish him?
Rock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vinayak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vinayak unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rock wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Vinayak celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
