Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shivam Vinayak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Rock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shivam Vinayak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Rock! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vinayak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rock moves away. Rock looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Rock moves away from the strike by Vinayak. No joy there for Rock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vinayak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vinayak lands in his opponent's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Vinayak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Vinayak gets the takedown into side control. Vinayak creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Vinayak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Vinayak stands up and beckons Rock to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vinayak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rock to the mat! Rock manages to get full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vinayak passes into half guard. Vinayak stalling. Vinayak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vinayak is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rock has managed to free his arm - good work. Vinayak looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Vinayak has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vinayak lands with some strikes. Rock is in a horrible position here. Vinayak smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vinayak controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vinayak working Rock over with strikes here.
Rock is rocked! Vinayak controlling the position easily from mount. Rock is still in real trouble! Can Vinayak finish him? Rock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vinayak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vinayak with the ground and pound from mount. Vinayak unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rock wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Vinayak celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shivam Vinayak!
