The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makaaja shoots in for a double leg but Bundao sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bundao with a lazy takedown attempt
and Makaaja decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bundao's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bundao has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Makaaja is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bundao.
Bundao is looking to reverse the position.
Makaaja is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bundao has escaped the position, nice work there.
Makaaja wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bundao, who protects the arm well.
Bundao manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Makaaja wants to work for an arm triangle but Bundao is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Makaaja is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bundao is just riding it out for now. Makaaja eventually gives up the hold.
